Website hosting
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare, Inc. and its service providers process technical request information, including IP address, requested URL, time and browser information, to deliver the website and protect it against abuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interests are reliable delivery and website security. We do not operate an additional visitor-log database. Where diagnostic Workers Logs are generated, the Cloudflare Free plan retains them for three days. Provider security records may be retained longer where necessary for incident investigation, abuse prevention or legal obligations.
Email enquiries
We use Gmail, provided by Google, to receive and answer enquiries. Your email address, message, optional name, order reference and subsequent correspondence are processed for that purpose. General enquiries rely on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, with the legitimate interest of answering requests; enquiries necessary for a contract or pre-contractual steps you request rely on Article 6(1)(b). Required business records rely on Article 6(1)(c). Contact information is not required by law, but we need a reply address to answer you.
Contact form
The contact form is handled by Formspree, Inc. It receives your email address, message, subject, optional name and order reference, language and technical submission information, and forwards your enquiry to our Gmail inbox. Details are used to answer the enquiry and prevent abuse, on the same legal bases as email enquiries. The free-plan submission archive is available for 30 days; provider security records are retained as necessary to operate and protect the service or meet legal obligations. Formspree uses infrastructure in the United States and describes standard contractual clauses as its transfer safeguard. No automated decision-making or profiling is used by us to answer enquiries.
Retention
Ordinary resolved enquiries are deleted from our working mailbox six months after closure unless contracts, disputes or statutory duties require longer retention. Where applicable, business correspondence is generally kept for six years, accounting vouchers for eight years and accounting books for ten years, generally from the end of the relevant calendar year. Legal holds may extend retention. Deleted Gmail data is subject to Google’s deletion and backup cycle; complete deletion generally takes around two months and backup copies may remain for up to six months, with longer retention where necessary for security or legal obligations.
Purchases through Gumroad
Purchase links take you to Gumroad, which handles payment and digital delivery. Gumroad processes the contact, payment and order details you provide there under its own privacy notice. We receive the order information necessary to identify your purchase, answer enquiries and maintain required business records.
International processing
Cloudflare and Google operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Cloudflare’s Data Processing Addendum provides EU standard contractual clauses for relevant restricted transfers. Google describes its transfer safeguards, including applicable adequacy frameworks and standard contractual clauses, in its linked transfer information. The provider documents linked below explain the safeguards and how to obtain them.
Your rights
Where the legal conditions apply, you have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. In particular, you may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may withdraw any consent without affecting prior lawful processing. Contact us using the email above. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, including the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
